Surface Deep Cleaning / Slab Cracking Service (Pre-Grading Preparation)

Prepare your cards for submission or improve their presentation with our pre-grading preparation service. This service includes surface deep cleaning, polishing, and optional slab cracking for graded cards.

Our goal is to help collectors present their cards in the best possible condition prior to grading or storage.

Our Services

Cleaning – Cards are carefully wiped using a microfiber cloth and a substance-free card spray to remove surface oils, fingerprints, and debris.

Polishing – Cards are gently buffed to enhance their natural shine and overall visual appeal.

Refining – Corners, edges, and crevices are lightly brushed to give the card a cleaner and more refined finish.

Slab Cracking (Optional) – We carefully open the protective slab of graded cards to safely remove the card for raw storage or resubmission.

Slab Cracking Service – $18 per slab

Important Notices

• Cleaning, polishing, surface treatment, and slab cracking carry inherent risks. While we exercise the utmost care using professional techniques, these processes are not risk-free.
• By proceeding with this service, the customer acknowledges and accepts responsibility for any potential damage that may occur.
• For slab cracking, the existing grade and certification will become null and void once the slab is opened.
• If the card is resubmitted for grading, there is no guarantee it will receive the same grade, and it may receive a lower grade upon re-evaluation.
• Certain preparation work may not always be suitable for grading. If the customer chooses to proceed with grading after preparation, the decision and outcome remain solely at the customer’s discretion.
